Orthopedic Myofascial Therapy in Calgary

man receiving a massage

A massage program designed to deal with prevention and correction of disorders involving the locomotor structures of the body; specifically the skeleton, joints, muscles, fascia as well as other related supporting structures such as ligaments and cartilage.

This approach moves beyond focusing on a particular massage technique to include a more comprehensive approach to rehabilitation that speeds up the healing process of injuries, adhesions, scar tissue and the release of fascia.

Often the “Pain – Spasm – Pain Cycle” is broken, thereby decreasing a patient’s suffering while increasing their range of motion – in a very short amount of time.

Orthopedic Myofascial Therapy covers the assessment and treatment of many injuries, including the following conditions:

  • Frozen Shoulder
  • Rotator Cuff Strain
  • Tennis Elbow
  • Golfer’s Elbow
  • Plantar Fascitis
  • Morton’s Neuroma
  • Shin Splints
  • Piriformis Syndrome
