Meet Marina Casey

I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. Upon graduating from high school I ventured into numerous aspects of post-secondary education in hopes of finding my calling and found that I had a passion for the arts. I soon discovered I was also meant to help people in a creative, yet alternative way. In order to fulfill my desire to help, I worked with the Reading Foundation to help create visual/remedial reading and writing programs for children. Then, in 2002, I completed my AFLCA as a fitness instructor specializing in Pilates.

The next part of my journey includes my two beautiful children whom I’m absolutely in love with. My children keep me grounded and help me strive to be healthy on all levels (the occasional starbucks mochaccino - no whip just the drizzle helps too).

Chiropractic care, Massage Therapy and Pilates have been a big part of my healing process. I was in a severe head trauma accident in my early teens and have had troubles managing my pain in different periods of my life. I know that these types of methods of taking care of my body have been so medicinal. I feel I’m in my element when contributing in helping people manage their pain or well being. I feel so grateful now that I can be apart of this healing process for anyone - this too is a passion of mine.

Chancey Fongsamouth

Born in Vientiane Laos 1980, Chancey’s parents dangerously fled their homeland taking her and her 5 older siblings away from the communistic form of society. Awaiting immigration in refugee camps south of Thailand for six years, the family were granted sponsorship from the help of an extraordinary Mennonite church in Saskatoon.

Soon after their arrival to Canada her father had fallen very ill with Diabetes, suffering to watch his adverse ordeals during her childhood guided Chancey to help ease the pains through “touch of healing”. Being able to help aid comfort allowed her to realize how rewarding massage truly is.

Chancey’s joyful passions include dance, creative arts, music and travelling. She receives inspiration, laughter and energy from her precious daughter Maliyah, born in the fall of 2001.

Living in Toronto, she studied Fashion at the International Academy of design. Then moved to Calgary with her fiance Meo and daughter in 2004. She went on to pursue a compassionate profession that continues to hold a very special place in her heart. Having been touched by chronic pain has inspired her to help others prevent injury and sustain better health. In April 2008 Chancey graduated at the Calgary College of Holistic Health for Swedish Massage Therapy.

Lauren Hansen

Lauren was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. Immediately after graduating high school she decided that she wanted to become a massage therapist. Lauren enrolled in a thousand hour program at the Professional Institute of Massage Therapy and graduated in May 2008.

Lauren enjoys playing sports especially rugby and wrestling. Throughout her high school wrestling experience she injured herself several times. Chiropractic care began Lauren’s healing process but she found that along with massage therapy the results soon began she show more quickly. Her road to healing has inspired her to assist others and begin them on their own healing journey.

Along with sports Lauren also enjoys to read, spend time outdoors, listen to music, watch movies and spend time with her family especially her nieces and nephew.

The Doctor Asks some important questions of interest to Calgary residents - Chiropractor Calgary The Doctor Asks...

Can those with osteoporosis get chiropractic care?
Of course. When developing a care plan, we consider the unique circumstances of each practice member. There are many ways we can adjust the spine. The chiropractic method we select will be best suited to your age, size and unique situation.
What's your plan to deal with drug-resistant 'super germs'?
Chiropractors have always been concerned with the indiscriminate use of antibiotics, accelerating the mutation of microbes that make "wonder" drugs increasingly ineffective. My strategy? Do everything possible to bolster my immune system through proper diet, rest, exercise, clean air, pure water and an optimally functioning nervous system with regular chiropractic care.
